fpl player prices 2022/23

The long-awaited Fantasy Premier League FPL Player prices 2022–2023 relaunch appears to be getting closer with the publication of the first round of player prices on Friday.
The order of play started with Arsenal, followed by Manchester City, Brentford, Brighton, Hove Albion, and Leeds United.

KEY TALKING POINTS

MANCHESTER CITY

After moving from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City, Erling Haaland entered FPL at arguably the lowest price we could have anticipated, being classified as an £11.5m striker.
Romelu Lukaku was handed the same price when he moved to Chelsea from Inter last summer, and Cristiano Ronaldo was initially valued at $1 million less after joining Manchester United from Real Madrid last season.

In fact, Kevin De Bruyne (£12.0m), who had a barnstorming end to the 2021–2022 season, is still the most expensive City asset for Manchester City in the Fantasy Premier League. In 20 appearances, he produced 21 attacking returns, such a performance enough to qualify him as the most valuable asset of the club.

After a 201-point campaign in which he began at a then-unthinkable £6.0m, it was clear that Joao Cancelo would receive a price increase, and as expected it received a 1m increase. it is currently priced (£7.0m) ahead of 2022-23. He actually had the highest start-to-finish ascent of any FPL defender in the competition last season, finishing at £7.2m.FPL Towers priced up eight further City players on Friday.

There are no City midfielders who will set you back more than £8.0m, with the exception of De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling (£10.0m), who, if rumors are to be believed, maybe on the verge of leaving the club. In contrast to Jack Grealish (£7.0m) and Riyad Mahrez (£8.0m), whose starting prices have actually decreased by one million pounds since last summer, Phil Foden (£8.0m), Ilkay Gundogan (£7.5m), and Bernardo Silva (£7.0m) have remained at their previous starting values.

Kyle Walker, an England international who made just 20 league starts in 2021–2022, joins the defense for an eye-catching £5.0 million, although there are obvious drawbacks with the 32-year-old right-back, including the potential entrance of Marc Cucurella and his advanced years.
Aymeric Laporte’s price is still unknown, however, Ruben Dias, a non-mover from the previous campaign, is listed at £6.0 million.

ARSENAL

Bukayo Saka’s starting price is likely to increase from £6.5 million to £8.0 million as a result of his outstanding 2021–2022 season.
It is therefore not unexpected that the prices of fellow attackers Eddie Nketiah (£7.0m), Emile Smith Rowe (£6.0m), Gabriel Martinelli (£6.0m), and Martin Odegaard (£6.5m) have increased.

Despite receiving only a slight raise to £5.0m, Aaron Ramsdale is no longer the bargain he was in August when his price was only £4.5m.
Even while several Arsenal assets performed well for their money last season, their prices haven’t increased.
Ben White stands out because his price tag remains constant at £4.5m despite a very good season in which he amassed 13 clean sheets.

The prices of fellow defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu (£4.5m), Gabriel Magalhaes (£5.0m), and Kieran Tierney are also fixed.
On his FPL debut, Arsenal’s new signing Fabio Vieira, who contributed 20 attacking returns in 27 league games for Porto in 2021–2022, has been given a starting price of £6.0m.
Gabriel Jesus’ transfer from Manchester City has not yet received formal approval, thus we are still awaiting the Brazilian’s transfer fee.

BRENTFORD

After being listed at £4.5m, Brentford goalkeeper David Raya will stake an early claim as many FPL managers’ set-and-forget goalkeeper.
In terms of first-choice shot-stoppers, Raya had the fourth-best points-per-match average (4.0), but his accomplishments may have gone unrecognized because of a mid-season injury.

One of the top four teams from last season won’t face Brentford until Gameweek 12, while Manchester City, Tottenham, and Liverpool won’t be a factor until later in the season.
Ivan Toney is slightly more expensive at £7.0m after ranking sixth among FPL strikers in terms of points in 2021–2022. A penalty-taking striker who didn’t see the bench once during the previous campaign will have his fans, especially given the previously mentioned strong early schedule.

Bryan Mbeumo (£6.0m) is now a forward, and Sergi Canos (£5.0m) is now a defender, thanks to Brentford’s price revelation. This marks the first positional adjustment of the summer. Both reclassifications resulted from Thomas Frank’s employment of a 3-5-2 for the majority of the season (Canos at wingback, Mbeumo up front), but the Brentford manager primarily utilized a 4-3-3 for the final 12 Gameweeks, with Mbeumo used as a right-winger.

Along with Raya, other defenders Pontus Jansson, Kristoffer Ajer, Rico Henry, and Ethan Pinnock are still available for £4.5 million. Only five FPL defenders, including more expensive offensive full/wing-backs like Cancelo, were able to match Jansson’s seven attacking returns from the previous season.

Midfielders Vitaly Janelt, Christian Norgaard, and Yoane Wissa each have starting prices of £5.5 million, with Wissa offering some intriguing potential provided if Frank sticks with his 4-3-3 formation. In the final nine Gameweeks of 2021/22, Wissa banked six attacking returns thanks to a change in shape that gave him additional starting opportunities.

BRIGHTON

Even if Brighton’s price releases may not generate a lot of headlines, there are a few interesting names and prices to note. If a rumored transfer to Manchester City occurs, Marc Cucurella at £5.0 million is someone to keep an eye on because, like Walker, he would cost £2.0 million less than Cancelo. In the years 2021–2022, Cucurella was a bonus-accumulating machine; just four defenders amassed more bonus points than his 21 during the season.

Lewis Dunk, a center-half, experienced a drop in last season’s price, his lowest starting price since 2019–20, while goalkeeper Robert Sanchez stays at £4.5m. Dunk only made one goal last season, but in his prior two seasons, he made a total of 11 attacking returns.

While the £6.5 million asking price for the injury-prone Danny Welbeck and the wasteful Neal Maupay may not attract many buyers, the £5.5 million price tag for fellow forward Deniz Undav is something to keep an eye on during the preseason. In the Belgian first division in 2021–2022, the German striker led all scorers with 25 goals in 33 games. While there should be some reasonable caution over the caliber of the opposition he faced. Albion has been doing an excellent job recruiting over the last few years (Mac Allister, Cucurella, Caicedo, etc.).

The Brighton player prices were released on Friday and are as follows Pascal Gross (£5.5m), Leandro Trossard (£6.5m), Tariq Lamptey (£4.5m), Moises Caicedo (£5.0m), and Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m). Trossard, despite his late-season stint as a goal-scoring wing-back, is not the subject of a positional reclassification, which is regrettably but entirely expected.

LEEDS UNITED

Leeds became the fifth team of the day to present a price list of their starting lineup.
Patrick Bamford (£7.5m) was listed only half a million less than he was a year ago, crushing any hopes that an injury-riddled 2021/22 season would result in a major price cut.

For those FPL managers who were expecting the Danish Matt Doherty would cost £4.5m, there is also a disappointment as Rasmus Kristensen, a goal-scoring wing-back, debuts as a £5.0m defender.
Brenden Aaronson, another summer signing, is an attacking midfielder who costs £5.5 million, while Marc Roca, a defender, costs £5.0 million.

In a very shaky Leeds backline, Illan Meslier (£4.5m), Robin Koch (£4.5m), and Liam Cooper (£4.5m) are less expensive options than Kristensen, but Daniel James (£6.0m) and Jack Harrison (£6.0m) are still available for the same price they did before to the start of 2021/22.

Rodrigo (£6.0m) has been reclassified as a midfielder and loses a million dollars, while Joe Gelhardt (£5.5m) is no longer at the bottom of the forwards’ bargain bin.
Raphinha is noticeably absent; the Brazilian appears to be planning a move away from Elland Road with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Barcelona all in a race to sign the midfielder.

LIVERPOOL

For the Liverpool team in 2022–2023, the first round of Fantasy Premier League player prices has been released.
Starting salaries for 11 members of Jürgen Klopp’s team were revealed on Saturday, in advance of the forthcoming 2022/23 FPL fantasy football season.

Mohamed Salah, who recently extended his long-term deal with the team, is so far the most expensive FPL player, currently priced at £13.0 million. Despite the exorbitant price and considering the limited 100 million pounds budget, Mohamed Salah is still an asset for most FPL managers.

Mohamed Salah will set FPL managers back for the 2022/23 season with his high price tag. That is the Egyptian’s highest starting price since 2018/19, the season that followed his record-breaking, 303-point debut campaign at Anfield. He did reach the heights of £13.3m in the spring of this year, however.

Salah is also still a midfielder, the most emphatic confirmation yet that we’re not about to see FPL Towers radically rejig the positional classifications for the new season.

The difference between Luis Diaz’s £8.0 million price tag and that of his teammate Mohamed Salah is £5.0 million. Diogo Jota, and newly acquired Darwin Nunez are both priced at £9.0m.   Jota used to play through the middle in Jurgen Klopp’s 4-3-3 formation, but he is now a forward.

According to our calculations, Jota would have finished the season with 159 points had he been reclassified from the previous year. With Cristiano Ronaldo, he would have tied for the second-highest scoring position among forwards. Nunez’s presence, of course, increases his competition at the top.

The prices for two of the Reds’ summer signings have also been made official: forward Darwin Nunez will cost £9.0 million, and right-back Calvin Ramsay will cost £4.0 million. The two new arrivals are fairly priced and will be good ad-ons.

FPL managers will undoubtedly be interested in Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m), Andy Robertson (£7.0m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m), and Alisson Becker (£5.5m) in the defense. Trent Alexander-(£7.5m) Arnold’s price remains the same despite his 208-point season, which was just shy of the all-time defender scoring record in the Fantasy Premier League.
Moving forward, the prices for Thiago Alcantara (£5.5m), Harvey Elliott (£5.0m), and Diogo Jota (£9.0m) may represent bargains.

While Alisson unexpectedly slips to £5.5m despite finishing as FPL’s highest-scoring goalkeeper, challenging many of our preconceived notions about choosing a £4.5m budget shot-stopper. Andrew Robertson (£7.0m) and Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m) also maintain their 2021/22 starting pricing. Hugo Lloris, a goalkeeper valued at £5.5 million, was in goal for the best-performing hypothetical “ghost squad” of 2021/22 (that we have seen, at least).

The other three Liverpool players priced today—Harvey Elliott (£5.0m) and Thiago Alcantara (£5.5m)—will garner far less attention. The first £4.0 million-rated defender we’ve seen so far is Calvin Ramsay, who was just signed and is comparable to Kostas Tsimikas from a year ago.

Ramsay is a back-up at right-back and was a prolific chance maker in his breakthrough year at Aberdeen, but it would take a serious injury to Alexander-Arnold for him to come into our consideration, and even then, Klopp might initially choose Joe Gomez or James Milner given that Ramsay is still only 18 years old.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Many of Manchester United’s players have seen their prices decline as a result of their disastrous 2021/22 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo (£10.5m) and Bruno Fernandes (£10.0m), who both dropped by £2.0m from where they started the game last season, may become cheap third premium alternatives for the forthcoming campaign.
If Erik ten Hag can work his magic and revitalize an aging, boring squad—and that’s a big “if”

It should be noted that Ronaldo was the second-highest scorer in the FPL for forwards in 2021–2022, tallying 18 goals as United slid to a sixth-place finish.

Any hints of improvement under Erik Ten Hag could give us a few deals in FPL because Fernandes was a big disappointment last season, who could believe he scored more points than Salah in 2020/21 only flop massively in the 2021/22 campaign.

The price of Jadon Sancho (£7.5m) has decreased by the same amount as that of his two teammates Marcos Rashford and Bruno Fernandes. Marcus Rashford (£6.5m), who cost £9.5m prior to the start of last season, has seen an even greater decline. Although Rashford struggled over the last year, he had a total 47 attacking returns over his prior two seasons, showing some now-dormant Fantasy pedigree.

Although 2021/22 was Anthony Elanga’s breakout year at United, his price (£5.0m) hasn’t changed. From Gameweek 22 on, only Fernandes, David de Gea, and Diogo Dalot started more league games for the Red Devils than the young Swede.

After a poor season for United’s defense, in which they only managed to keep eight clean sheets, Luke Shaw (£5.0m), Raphael Varane (£5.0m), and David de Gea (£5.0m) lose half a million each in the new prices ahead of next season.

The final three United price releases are Alex Telles (£5.0m), Fred (£5.5m), and Donny van de Beek (£5.5m).

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

The Wolverhampton Wanderers price disclosures don’t raise many red flags.

Raul Jimenez (£7.0m) loses half a million following a lackluster season in which he scored only six goals, while Jose Sa (£5.0m) stays the same following a strong debut Premier League campaign in which his heroics led to 11 clean sheets for Wolves.

Bruno Lage’s team leads our Season Scorecard for fixture difficulty during the first six Gameweeks, despite having a poor 2021/22 season.

For that early-season run, there are a couple of potential steals: Jonny costs £4.5 million, while Pedro Neto is now only worth £5.5 million following a season marred by injuries.

Prior to the end of the season, Neto, who missed the first half of the 2021–2022 season, gradually reintegrated into Lage’s first-team lineup and made five starts before the end of last season. He was on the watchlist after producing 13 attacking returns in 2020–21, he was also effectively playing up front in a strike partnership toward the end of the campaign.

Nelson Semedo (£5.0m) appears unlikely to have fully recovered by the beginning of August, leaving the flexible Jonny to start 2022/23 at right wing-back. Jonny also scored twice after his own extended layoff.

Conor Coady joins Semedo at £5.0m after a fantastic 2021/22 in which he finished as the 12th-highest scoring defender in FPL. In addition, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Max Kilman remain at £4.5m.

Daniel Podence and Ruben Neves’ prices are the same as they were a year ago, at £5.5 million and £5.5 million, respectively. Hwang Hee-chan has been reclassified as a midfielder and is listed at £6.0 million.

ASTON VILLA

Pricing at Villa is probably on the generous side of what is “expected.”

With a price tag of £5.0m, Matty Cash, the top-scoring FPL defender outside of the big-six teams last season, stands out.

In 2021/22, Cash started each and every Premier League game for the Villans and produced seven attacking returns and thirteen clean sheets from the same starting price. With the addition of center-back Diego Carlos (£5.0 million) and defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara (£5.0 million) to the team, Villa is hoped to progress even more in terms of shutouts in 2021–2022.

Emi Martinez (£5.0m) and Lucas Digne (£5.0m), two of the most alluring but usually unimpressive FPL assets, cost the same as Cash.

Ollie Watkins, who has scored the most goals for the team over the past two seasons, is Villa’s most expensive asset at £7.5 million, exactly where he was a year ago. Philippe Coutinho (£7.0m) and Danny Ings (£7.0m) are both half a million less expensive, with the Brazilian’s streak of 10 consecutive blanks between Gameweeks 29 and 37 likely contributing to his lower price.

Meanwhile, Jacob Ramsey is no longer the cheap alternative he was during the previous season thanks to his breakout performance, which led to an increase to £5.5m.

John McGinn (£5.5 million) and Emi Buendia (£6.0 million) were the other two Villa players whose prices were announced today.

CHELSEA

On Sunday morning, Chelsea was the first team to make a statement on the prices of their players in the forthcoming 2022/23 FPL season. Reece James and Ben Chilwell were among the players whose prices had increased. At midday, Jarrod Bowen and West Ham United grabbed center stage.

There should be additional Premier League teams cutting player costs around 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm BST if today plays out similarly to Friday and Saturday.
The question of whether a less expensive Ben Chilwell might ‘cover’ a more expensive Reece James in 2022/23 has received a lot of talk in the fantasy football community over the past month, but we weren’t prepared for FPL to price the two equally.

Chilwell and James both begin the new campaign at £6.0 million, which is fair enough for James given his attacking capabilities and threat. Despite the right back’s inconsistent fitness record and the defensive uncertainty that Chelsea is experiencing this summer as Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger leave, there will be plenty of buyers at that price.

The Blues are also going to enjoy the first seven-game weeks as they will only contend with only one of the last season’s top six teams, which is Tottenham Hotspurs. Otherwise, it could be a smooth ride for the London club.

Edouard Mendy (£5.0m) should also be classified as a “deal” because, like Alisson yesterday, his price has been set lower than almost all of us would have anticipated. Mendy has lost a million dollars since last summer, and the set-and-forget £4.5m FPL shot-stopper method is undoubtedly under fire. Ederson is almost probably going to start at a cheaper price after what happened to the Liverpool and Chelsea goalies.

The two Chelsea defensive players that were valued this morning were Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta, both of whom cost £5.5 million.

Kai Havertz (£8.0m) has received the anticipated positional reclassification farther up the field. With just over 60% of his league appearances for Chelsea last season coming while playing in the middle up front, the German is now classified as a forward in FPL. If Havertz had been a striker in 2021–2022, he would have lost 18 clean sheet/goal points, but gained an estimated 10 bonus points more to partially make up for it.
Following his best-ever season for FPL points, Mason Mount’s price has slightly increased to £8.0m. The England international averaged a remarkable 6.1 points per start while racking up 22 attacking returns in just 27 starts and five substitution appearances.

The other Chelsea midfielders with higher asking prices are Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.5m), Jorginho (£6.0m), and Christian Pulisic (£6.0m), while Timo Werner (£8.0m) remains a forward and is priced the same as Havertz.

WEST HAM UNITED

Jarrod Bowen’s (£8.5m) witnessed a £2m increase on his last season’s price following a dominant performance in the 2021–2022 campaign, during which he amassed 29 attacking returns and outperformed all FPL midfielders beside Son Heung-min and Mohamed Salah.

There will most likely be few first buyers for the right-winger, and not just for financial reasons: In the first six Gameweeks, West Ham plays against Man City, Spurs, and Chelsea in addition to high-spending Aston Villa and a deceptively difficult Brighton team.

Michail Antonio (£7.5m) had a hot start to last season before being somewhat of a letdown, getting 40 points in the first three Gameweeks but just another 100 in his last 33 outings. As a result, FPL chose to maintain his price at £7.5m, and Gameweek 1 should see little interest in him.

If recent acquisition Nayef Aguerd (£5.0m) can tighten up a backline that preserved more shutouts than just four other teams in 2021/22, there are some possible future bargains in defense.

Over the last two FPL seasons, Aaron Cresswell (£5.0m) and Vladimir Coufal (£4.5m) have provided decent attacking threats and rewards, but sometimes that hasn’t been accompanied by clean sheets at the other end. They both now cost less than half a million in price as compared to last season.

Aguerd, who is highly regarded, had two seasons with Rennes when his team had the third-best defensive record in Ligue 1.

Ben Johnson, who sold for peanuts in 2021/22, is now available for £4.5 million.

Declan Rice (£5.0 million), Said Benrahma (£6.0 million), Pablo Fornals (£5.5 million), Manuel Lanzini (£5.5 million), and Tomas Soucek (£5.5 million) have all been valued in the midfield today.

FULHAM

The most notable price disclosure from Fulham was Aleksandar Mitrovic, whose £6.5 million price tag was precisely what was anticipated.
The Serb hasn’t quite won over the Premier League, but he scored a record-breaking 43 goals in the Championship last season, and the Cottagers under Marco Silva are a lot more offensive than they were under Scott Parker in the 2020–21 campaign.

Harry Wilson, who made 41 league appearances, and contributed 29 attacking results, was another player who stood out in the English second tier in 2020–21. The set-piece expert, who last appeared in FPL in 2019/20 when playing for Bournemouth, assisted more goals than any other player in the Championship last season and returns to the game at a price of £6.0m.

Neeskens Kebano, a winger who primarily played on Wilson’s opposing flank, receives a £5.5 million listing. Nine of his 40 appearances came as a substitute, showing that he wasn’t quite as reliable as his fellow wide player as a starter. Additionally, with nine goals and six assists, he only provided an attacking return that was half of Wilson’s.

With four defensive players priced at £4.5m each—Tim Ream, Tosin Adarabioyo, Kenny Tete, and goalie Marek Rodak—there is certainly not much Fantasy interest elsewhere. The west London team led the league in the fewest predicted goals allowed the previous season but only finished joint-sixth in the Championship for clean sheets (xGC).

However, they are still thought of as a more aggressive squad, and this season, there aren’t many expectations for their FPL defensive choices.

Bobby Decordova-Reid (£5.5m), Ivan Cavaleiro (£5.0m), Tom Cairney (£5.0m), and Rodrigo Muniz (£5.5m) weren’t even guaranteed starters at Championship level, so they won’t matter unless they have an unexpectedly strong preseason.

NEWCASTLE

Allan Saint-Maximin, who was Newcastle’s top point scorer in the 2021/22 FPL season, is still available for the same fee of £6.5 million, although he is now a midfielder rather than a forward.

Joelinton has also been altered; he is now a £6.0 million midfielder option rather than an attacker.

Other price hikes include Bruno Guimaraes, who goes from £5.0 million to £6.0 million, and Dan Burn, whose asking price is £4.5 million, who would be a good buy.

BOURNEMOUTH

Newly promoted championship side Bournemouth has on Sunday released the prices of its players in the 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League.

Notable among her players is Dominic Solanke a prolific forward that goes for just £6m, a fair bargain to many FPL managers considering the recent price hikes of star players.

SOUTHAMPTON

Southampton also released their FPL player prices ahead of the 2022/23 campaign set to begin next month. The prices were fair enough considering a 4.5m pounds for all-five defenders – Bednarek, Bella-Kotchap Perraud, Salisu, and Walker-Peters.

Two players that FPL managers will put into consideration in the Southampton team are Che Adams and Ward-Prowse both priced at 6.5m but are capable of bringing nearly good returns as was the case in the previous seasons.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS

On Monday, more Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player prices for the 2022–2023 campaign were made public.
Son Heung-min’s price tag and Fantasy position were the top stories when Tottenham Hotspur first released their player prices on the news this morning.
In order to prepare for the likely impending relaunch of FPL season, we now have prices for all 20 Premier League clubs after Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Nottingham Forest followed.

Son Heung-min has received the expected price increase following a stellar season in which he scored 258 points and made 33 attacking returns.

He will now set Fantasy managers back £12.0 million, an increase of £2m from his original starting price in the 2021/22 campaign.

Son and Kevin De Bruyne are currently joint-second most expensive assets in FPL, with only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) being more expensive.
The South Korean international will remain a midfielder in FPL this season; it always seemed doubtful that Son would go to the forward position once Salah averted a reclassification on Saturday and it was made apparent that the game-makers were not planning to change the positional frameworks.

Harry Kane (£11.5m), who lowers a whole million pounds from last summer and rejoins FPL at the same price as Erling Haaland, is less expensive than Son.

Son scored 258 points in 2021–2022, compared to Kane’s 192, which was a huge 66 points difference. However, Kane’s first 17 Gameweeks were terrible, with him contributing just one goal and one assist.

As of Gameweek 18, he was first for attacking returns and first for double-digit hauls among all Fantasy assets in terms of points:

Dejan Kulusevski (£8.0 million) receives a substantial raise as well but is still £4.0 million less expensive than Son, so the Swede will undoubtedly draw a lot of interest. Below is the complete table of player prices for Tottenham Hotspurs

LEICESTER CITY

Jamie Vardy’s asking price of £9.5 million, which is down a million from last summer’s initial price, is his lowest since 2019–20.

Aging limbs and competition from Patson Daka (£6.0m) and Kelechi Iheanacho (£6.5m) are of course factors to be taken into account with the veteran striker, but he was Brendan Rodgers’ man for the big moments in 2021–2022, and unlike last season, the Foxes are no longer required to balance domestic and European obligations.

The “five substitutions” rule may also benefit Vardy, who will get fewer overall rests but more in-game minute management.

The 35-year-old hitman had a difficult season due to injuries, which limited him to just 20 starts. Despite this, he still managed to score 15 goals, and his shot-to-goal conversion rate (27.8 percent) was the best among first-choice FPL strikers.

James Maddison has increased by one million from where he was a year ago and now joins a large group of midfielders valued at £8.0 million.

In the first 12 Gameweeks of 2021–2022, Maddison had a Kane-like start, contributing just one assist. However, he went on to score 22 attacking returns in his final 23 games, averaging an incredible 7.4 points per start during that span.

CRYSTAL PALACE

As Crystal Palace finished last on the Season Ticker for fixture difficulty in the first nine Gameweeks, it is likely that few of our initial FPL squads will include any Crystal Palace players. Over that time, they play five of the “big six,” and they don’t encounter a freshly promoted team until Gameweek 16.

Only five clubs kept more clean sheets than the Eagles (12) in 2021/22, and only the top four teams posted fewer predicted goals conceded. Their defenders might be good buys when the schedule eases (xGC).

Marc Guehi, Joachim Andersen, and Tyrick Mitchell are still available at the same price they were last summer, and all of the regulars may be purchased for £4.5 million.

EVERTON

Dominic Calvert-starting Lewin’s price of £8.0 million has not decreased despite a season marred by injuries, shattering any hopes that it might.

In the 2021–2022 campaign, the Everton striker scored five goals and provided two assists while only starting 15 Premier League games and twice coming off the bench.

Of all, he did score 29 goals in each of his previous two seasons, and he will presumably return to penalty kicks now that Richarlison has left for north London.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Brennan Johnson, the top scorer for Nottingham Forest from 2021–2022, was listed as a £6.0 million striker in the day’s last round of price reveals.

Johnson, a Wales international, has spent a lot of time in his career playing in the hole or on the flank, but now that he’s settled in as one of the two attackers in Steve Cooper’s 3-4-1-2, FPL has predictably labeled him as a forward.

Johnson provided 10 additional assists to the Forest team in addition to his 16 goals last season.

Taiwo Awoniyi, a summer signing, is comparable to Johnson in terms of position and money.

Adrie van der Poel deelt verontrustend bericht over Mathieu

Published

on

manchester united vs chelsea

The Red Devils will be hosting visitors Chelsea at Old Trafford in the Premier League fixture on Thursday

Here is a thorough match preview on the recent performance, Current form, Head-to-Head, and statistics for Manchester United vs Chelsea – along with the latest betting tips.

Manchester United

L D L W L L
Manchester United have not been in their best performance in recent time. The red devils have only one win in their last six matches. They will be hoping to return to winning ways after the 3-1 Premier League defeat in their last game at Emirates Stadium.

In their away match at Emirates Stadium, Manchester United were outclassed by the Gunners, as the Red Devils managed 45% possession and 14 shot attempt with only 5 of them on target. Cristiano Ronaldo came to the rescue in 34th-minute after the visitors were 2-0 down.

While Arsenal on the other hand enjoyed 55% ball possession, had 14 shots with 7 on target. Two early goals from Nuno Tavares in the 3rd minute, and Bukayo Saka in the 32nd minute gave the gunners a comfortable lead. Bruno Fernandes failed to convert a spot-kick as Granit Xhaka sealed the victory for Arsenal in the 70th minute.

Manchester United’s recent performance has been worse than usual. They have conceded in all of their last 6 matches, amounting to 12 goals conceded in 6 matches. This is the kind of record every Chelsea fan will like to hear right now.

PRE-MATCH FACTS

The Red Devils have not lost any of their league matches against Chelsea in their last 8 matches. That is quite a long run between the two clubs without a loss.
However, despite their 8 matches unbeaten run against the Blues, they haven’t won against Chelsea in their last 3 premier league matches.
And lastly, Manchester United haven’t lost against Chelsea in their previous 7 league matches at home.

Chelsea

L W W W L W
Chelsea are heading into the match against Manchester United as the favorite contenders. The blues recorded a slim 1-0 victory against West Ham United in the Premier League fixture on Sunday

Chelsea who welcomed West Ham United enjoyed a 67% possession and 26 shots attempt with only 5 on target. Despite the large possession of the ball, the blue’s attack was blunt firing 21 shots off-target. Thanks to Christian Pulisic’s stoppage-time goal that secured the victory for the home team. West Ham United tried to get at least a point off the current world champions, managed 33% ball possession, and got 6 attempts with only 2 on target.

Looking at their last 6 premier league fixtures, Chelsea have won 4 and loss 2 scoring 15 goals. Remarkably, the blues scored in all of their last 6 premier league matches and conceded 9 goals.

PAST MEETINGS WITH MANCHESTER UNITED

In their previous meetings, Chelsea have not won against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the previous 8 league matches. Also, Chelsea have not been defeated in their last 5 away league matches

HEAD-TO-HEAD

This fixture is one of the biggest matches in the English Premier League. Looking at their head-to-head meetings in the Premier League stretching from the 2018/2019 season to date, both teams have met six times, Manchester United won 2 of these games while Chelsea won 1, and a record of 3 draws.

INJURY UPDATE: Manchester United

According to Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick, the following players will not be available for the match against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba (Calf Injury)

Fred (Problems with the hip flexor)

Edinson Cavani (Calf Injury)

Luke Shaw (Leg Injury)

INJURY UPDATE: Chelsea

According to Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, only Ben Chilwell who suffered a Ruptured cruciate ligament, and will not be available for the trip to Old Trafford.

Prediction

Considering their recent performance, Manchester United will need a miracle to win all 3 points against this Chelsea side. I think the best the Red devils can do is to pick a point.
I’m tipping over 1.5 goals for this match.
