News agency AGI reports that the Milan right-back is being investigated for alleged illegal gambling, as the betting scandal in the country rolls on. Both Juventus’ Nicolo Fagioli and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali have already been banned, for seven months and 10 months respectively.
Florenzi, it is reported, is expected to meet with the Italian prosecutor in the coming days to discuss the case. He remains a useful member of Milan’s squad and has started five Serie A games this season, while coming off the bench on five other occasions.
