AM: Conor Gallagher – 8/10 – He is yet another player who was everywhere on the pitch. Linked up perfectly with Kai Harvertz, Pulisic and Azplicueta.

AM: Mason Mount – 8/10 – Was excellent all through the game as he was involved in two goal and could have recorded his name on the scoresheet but luck wasn’t on his side.

Manager: Graham Potter – 8/10 – He was clinical in his formation and team selection that yielded the desired victory at Stamford Bridge. Even without some of his key players he was able to pick all three points. He made the right substitutions just when it was necessary. Great game for Graham Potter.

RB: Nelson Semedo – 4/10 – It was a bad day for Semedo who was nowhere to be found in the defense and was not also supportive upfront. A total blackout for the defender.

CB: Toti Gomes – 4/10 – He was superb in the defense but couldn’t hold unto possession.

CB: Max Kilman – 4/10 – He was the only defender looking all tensed and under pressure. Didn’t perform as he use to, quite a bad day for the defender.

LB: Jonny – 3/10 – He was saddled with the task of containing Aziplicueta and Gallaher which is quite impossible for the defender and he couldn’t get the desired help from his teammate.

DM: Matheus Nunes – 7/10 – His pace and dribbling skills were exquisite. He could have gotten a goal or an assist.

DM: Joao Moutinho – 5/10 – He did well defensively but has a limited mobility upfront leaving Matheus with lot of work to do in the midfield.

RM: Adama Traore – 5/10 – Though he find his way past Cucurella on several occasions, his finishing touhes didn’t yield the desired result.

AM: Daniel Podence – 3/10 – Perhaps he didn’t get the desired support from his teammates upfront to finish the ball as expected. Wasted quite a number of chances.

LM: Goncalo Guedes – 2/10 – It was a poor outing for the winger as he was no where to be found in terms of possession and contribution to the attacking line.

ST: Diego Costa – 3/10 – He tried to get involved in the first half without much impact. He was substituted in the second half and got an outstanding reception and ovation from the Chelsea supporters.

SUB: Joe Hodge (46′ for Guedes) – 6/10 – Hodge’s was brought in immediately after the halftime break and the young lad actually played better. It was indeed a splendid senior league outing for Hodge.
