MANCHESTER CITY

After moving from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City, Erling Haaland entered FPL at arguably the lowest price we could have anticipated, being classified as an £11.5m striker.
Romelu Lukaku was handed the same price when he moved to Chelsea from Inter last summer, and Cristiano Ronaldo was initially valued at $1 million less after joining Manchester United from Real Madrid last season.

In fact, Kevin De Bruyne (£12.0m), who had a barnstorming end to the 2021–2022 season, is still the most expensive City asset for Manchester City in the Fantasy Premier League. In 20 appearances, he produced 21 attacking returns, such a performance enough to qualify him as the most valuable asset of the club.

After a 201-point campaign in which he began at a then-unthinkable £6.0m, it was clear that Joao Cancelo would receive a price increase, and as expected it received a 1m increase. it is currently priced (£7.0m) ahead of 2022-23. He actually had the highest start-to-finish ascent of any FPL defender in the competition last season, finishing at £7.2m.FPL Towers priced up eight further City players on Friday.

There are no City midfielders who will set you back more than £8.0m, with the exception of De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling (£10.0m), who, if rumors are to be believed, maybe on the verge of leaving the club. In contrast to Jack Grealish (£7.0m) and Riyad Mahrez (£8.0m), whose starting prices have actually decreased by one million pounds since last summer, Phil Foden (£8.0m), Ilkay Gundogan (£7.5m), and Bernardo Silva (£7.0m) have remained at their previous starting values.

Kyle Walker, an England international who made just 20 league starts in 2021–2022, joins the defense for an eye-catching £5.0 million, although there are obvious drawbacks with the 32-year-old right-back, including the potential entrance of Marc Cucurella and his advanced years.
Aymeric Laporte’s price is still unknown, however, Ruben Dias, a non-mover from the previous campaign, is listed at £6.0 million.

ARSENAL

Bukayo Saka’s starting price is likely to increase from £6.5 million to £8.0 million as a result of his outstanding 2021–2022 season.
It is therefore not unexpected that the prices of fellow attackers Eddie Nketiah (£7.0m), Emile Smith Rowe (£6.0m), Gabriel Martinelli (£6.0m), and Martin Odegaard (£6.5m) have increased.

Despite receiving only a slight raise to £5.0m, Aaron Ramsdale is no longer the bargain he was in August when his price was only £4.5m.
Even while several Arsenal assets performed well for their money last season, their prices haven’t increased.
Ben White stands out because his price tag remains constant at £4.5m despite a very good season in which he amassed 13 clean sheets.

The prices of fellow defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu (£4.5m), Gabriel Magalhaes (£5.0m), and Kieran Tierney are also fixed.
On his FPL debut, Arsenal’s new signing Fabio Vieira, who contributed 20 attacking returns in 27 league games for Porto in 2021–2022, has been given a starting price of £6.0m.
Gabriel Jesus’ transfer from Manchester City has not yet received formal approval, thus we are still awaiting the Brazilian’s transfer fee.

BRENTFORD

After being listed at £4.5m, Brentford goalkeeper David Raya will stake an early claim as many FPL managers’ set-and-forget goalkeeper.
In terms of first-choice shot-stoppers, Raya had the fourth-best points-per-match average (4.0), but his accomplishments may have gone unrecognized because of a mid-season injury.

One of the top four teams from last season won’t face Brentford until Gameweek 12, while Manchester City, Tottenham, and Liverpool won’t be a factor until later in the season.
Ivan Toney is slightly more expensive at £7.0m after ranking sixth among FPL strikers in terms of points in 2021–2022. A penalty-taking striker who didn’t see the bench once during the previous campaign will have his fans, especially given the previously mentioned strong early schedule.

Bryan Mbeumo (£6.0m) is now a forward, and Sergi Canos (£5.0m) is now a defender, thanks to Brentford’s price revelation. This marks the first positional adjustment of the summer. Both reclassifications resulted from Thomas Frank’s employment of a 3-5-2 for the majority of the season (Canos at wingback, Mbeumo up front), but the Brentford manager primarily utilized a 4-3-3 for the final 12 Gameweeks, with Mbeumo used as a right-winger.

Along with Raya, other defenders Pontus Jansson, Kristoffer Ajer, Rico Henry, and Ethan Pinnock are still available for £4.5 million. Only five FPL defenders, including more expensive offensive full/wing-backs like Cancelo, were able to match Jansson’s seven attacking returns from the previous season.

Midfielders Vitaly Janelt, Christian Norgaard, and Yoane Wissa each have starting prices of £5.5 million, with Wissa offering some intriguing potential provided if Frank sticks with his 4-3-3 formation. In the final nine Gameweeks of 2021/22, Wissa banked six attacking returns thanks to a change in shape that gave him additional starting opportunities.

BRIGHTON

Even if Brighton’s price releases may not generate a lot of headlines, there are a few interesting names and prices to note. If a rumored transfer to Manchester City occurs, Marc Cucurella at £5.0 million is someone to keep an eye on because, like Walker, he would cost £2.0 million less than Cancelo. In the years 2021–2022, Cucurella was a bonus-accumulating machine; just four defenders amassed more bonus points than his 21 during the season.

Lewis Dunk, a center-half, experienced a drop in last season’s price, his lowest starting price since 2019–20, while goalkeeper Robert Sanchez stays at £4.5m. Dunk only made one goal last season, but in his prior two seasons, he made a total of 11 attacking returns.

While the £6.5 million asking price for the injury-prone Danny Welbeck and the wasteful Neal Maupay may not attract many buyers, the £5.5 million price tag for fellow forward Deniz Undav is something to keep an eye on during the preseason. In the Belgian first division in 2021–2022, the German striker led all scorers with 25 goals in 33 games. While there should be some reasonable caution over the caliber of the opposition he faced. Albion has been doing an excellent job recruiting over the last few years (Mac Allister, Cucurella, Caicedo, etc.).

The Brighton player prices were released on Friday and are as follows Pascal Gross (£5.5m), Leandro Trossard (£6.5m), Tariq Lamptey (£4.5m), Moises Caicedo (£5.0m), and Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m). Trossard, despite his late-season stint as a goal-scoring wing-back, is not the subject of a positional reclassification, which is regrettably but entirely expected.

LEEDS UNITED

Leeds became the fifth team of the day to present a price list of their starting lineup.
Patrick Bamford (£7.5m) was listed only half a million less than he was a year ago, crushing any hopes that an injury-riddled 2021/22 season would result in a major price cut.

For those FPL managers who were expecting the Danish Matt Doherty would cost £4.5m, there is also a disappointment as Rasmus Kristensen, a goal-scoring wing-back, debuts as a £5.0m defender.
Brenden Aaronson, another summer signing, is an attacking midfielder who costs £5.5 million, while Marc Roca, a defender, costs £5.0 million.

In a very shaky Leeds backline, Illan Meslier (£4.5m), Robin Koch (£4.5m), and Liam Cooper (£4.5m) are less expensive options than Kristensen, but Daniel James (£6.0m) and Jack Harrison (£6.0m) are still available for the same price they did before to the start of 2021/22.

Rodrigo (£6.0m) has been reclassified as a midfielder and loses a million dollars, while Joe Gelhardt (£5.5m) is no longer at the bottom of the forwards’ bargain bin.
Raphinha is noticeably absent; the Brazilian appears to be planning a move away from Elland Road with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Barcelona all in a race to sign the midfielder.

Rangers Youngster Sets Celtic Fans Alight with Bold Celebration in Epic Kilmarnock Moment

Rangers Youngster Sets Celtic Fans Alight with Bold Celebration in Epic Kilmarnock Moment!

In a Scottish Premiership clash that had fans on the edge of their seats, Rangers’ loanee Findlay Curtis turned heads with a cheeky celebration that has since gone viral online. The 19-year-old, on loan at Kilmarnock, was at the heart of the drama as his side surged into an early lead against fierce rivals Celtic at Rugby Park — and he didn’t hold back in celebrating it.

Curtis, deployed in a more advanced role for this fixture, made the most of his opportunity. After Tyreece John-Jules opened the scoring and Kilmarnock doubled their advantage, cameras caught the young winger raising his arms and gesturing in celebration directly in front of the Celtic supporters in the away end — a moment that instantly lit up social media.

Although his exuberant celebration was quickly cut short when veteran keeper Kasper Schmeichel ushered him away, the damage was done — pundits and fans alike have been talking about it ever since. That kind of on-field bravado in front of the rival support doesn’t happen every day, and it’s one that will stick in the minds of supporters on both sides.

Whether you see it as passionate football emotion or a bit of mind games, Curtis’ reaction added another unforgettable moment to a season already packed with drama and rivalry — showing once again why the Scottish Premiership never fails to entertain.

End of the Road at Parkhead? Andy Walker Drops Brutal Verdict on Celtic’s Japanese Duo

“Are Celtic’s Japanese Stars Past Their Best? Andy Walker Predicts End of the Road for Maeda & Hatate”

Recent pundit commentary has stirred fresh debate among fans of Celtic Football Club, with veteran analyst Andy Walker making bold claims about two of the team’s key Japanese players — Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate. Walker’s verdict? This could be the final chapter at Parkhead for both players if they don’t turn their seasons around.

Struggles on the Pitch

Walker’s view stems from both men’s current dip in form. Hatate, normally a creative midfield presence, was recently scrutinised after a costly mistake led to a penalty for Livingston — and Walker suggested it might be time for him to lose his place temporarily in the starting XI to find confidence again.

Meanwhile, Maeda — who once electrified Scottish football with blistering pace and a PFA Player of the Year-winning season — has yet to recapture that spark this campaign. The forward is playing well below the high standards he set previously, and Walker believes both he and Hatate may have run their course at Celtic unless they rediscover their best form before the season ends.

Why This Matters

Walker’s assessment resonates beyond just match performance:

  • Maeda’s Blocked Transfer: Earlier in the season, Maeda openly admitted he wanted a move away — only for Celtic to block it — and pundits speculated this block may have affected his focus and sharpness.
  • Legacy and Timing: If both players fail to make a strong impact before the campaign’s conclusion, Walker argues their legacies at Celtic could be overshadowed by disappointment rather than remembered for their earlier success.

 The Bigger Picture

Celtic’s squad is at a crossroads. With new tactics, fresh faces and evolving expectations under manager Brendan Rodgers, long-serving players must justify their place or risk being phased out. Walker’s blunt but insightful commentary has sparked fresh debate among supporters over who should lead the club forward — and who’s time might be running out.

Adrie van der Poel deelt verontrustend bericht over Mathieu

Published

on
